Photography Showcase & Annual Officer Elections
Share Your Favorite Bird Photos!
Our April monthly program will be a narrated slideshow of photos from you! We’re inviting you to submit up to 5 photos of birds to be showcased in a PowerPoint slideshow presentation.
How it will work:
Step 1 – Email up to 5 bird photos to programs@pilchuckaudubon.org
Step 2 – We will compile all the photos into a PowerPoint presentation
Step 3 – Come to the program!
Step 4 – When your photos come on screen, step up to the microphone and share the name of the species, where you took the photo, and any other interesting stories about the photo or how you were able to capture the image.
Our April program will be in-person only, so if you want to share your photos, or see those of your fellow birders and photographers, you’ll have to be in the room with us!
Submit your photos by emailing them to: programs@pilchuckaudubon.org
Deadline to submit photos is Monday, April 7
Annual Officer Elections
April is also our annual membership meeting where we vote on and elect our new chapter officers. This year we will be voting for the positions of Vice President and Treasurer. Like all elections, this is an important process for our organization and we hope to have as many chapter members present to participate as possible.
We hope to see you (& your photos) there!
The Results Are In!

Larry Schwitters Receives National Audubon’s William Dutcher Award
Last fall, our very own Larry Schwitters was awarded the National Audubon Society's William Dutcher Award at the national convention in Colorado. At our April monthly program we were honored to present the award to him.
The William Dutcher Award recognizes outstanding Audubon volunteers who exemplify the standard established by William Dutcher, the first chairman of the National Association of Audubon Societies in 1905.
Larry coordinates the monitoring of Vaux’s Swift roosts across the Pacific Flyway, an effort known as Vaux’s Happening. His efforts to conserve this species not just locally in Washington, but all along the west coast is truly admirable. We are incredibly grateful for and proud of the work he does, and could not think of a more deserving person for this prestigious award.
